Demoskolen
About the school
Demoskolen is an independent school for years 1 to 10 with about 120 pupils. Every year group is one class, so the teachers know every pupil in the school.
01How we work
The curriculum, and the woods next door
We follow the national curriculum and use the nature around the school as much as we can. Every week, each year group has at least one day of outdoor school, when maths, science and Norwegian move out into the woods and down to the water.
Classes are small, 10 to 14 pupils. That gives the teachers time to follow up each pupil, and the pupils get confident about saying what they think.

02What we stand for
Four things we hold on to
Every pupil should have at least one adult at school they trust.
We speak up when something is wrong, and we put it right together.
We finish things, even when they get boring.
Parents are welcome in the school all through the day.
03The school day
An ordinary day, hour by hour
| Time | What happens |

| 08:30 | School starts. Every year group begins with a quiet circle in class. |
| 10:15 | Break outside, in any weather. |
